ESS Alarms & Locksmiths offer several levels of High Security Restricted Key Systems.
What is the difference between a ‘Standard Key’ and a ‘Security Restricted Key’?
A standard keykey can copied by anyone who has a key machine and the appropriate keyblank e.g. key cutters, boot makers, key cutting kiosks etc.
A security restricted key can only be copied by the locksmith/company who installed the initial system. Upon a request for keys a letter must accompany the individual with a specimen signature, that being the authorized signature holder of that system. Records are kept of how many keys have been issued and what day they were issued on, which keeps the customer in total control of keys issued.
